Omar Saleh

Omar Saleh founded Khazna with the vision of improving the financial well-being of underserved individuals and micro-businesses by providing simple, user-centric and technology driven financial services. Prior to founding Khazna, Omar was head of Middle East and North Africa at WorldRemit, a leading cross-border payment company, where he led the company’s expansion into the region. Prior to that, he was head of business development and strategy at ADES International, where he led the post IPO growth phase including the direct investment of ~$400M across the Middle East. Omar holds a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from Cairo University and a Master of Business Administration from Stanford University

Amal Enan

Amal Enan is a Partner at 500 Global, a multi stage venture fund investing in the world’s potential. Amal advises the American University in Cairo as the Chief Investment Officer of the Endowment and was the former Senior Advisor on COP27 to the World Resources Institute. Amal founded The Lotus Collective, an organization supporting access to finance for women and climate solutions for sustainable & inclusive growth.

At 500 Global, Amal leads the firm’s early stage investments in Egypt in high growth sectors including healthtech, fintech and Saas in addition to managing the wider Egypt programs and building the team. Amal was the former Executive Director of the Egyptian-American Enterprise Fund “EAEF”.
